Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CVTailr ("Service"), operated by CVTailr ("we", "us", or "our") at cvtailr.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

CVTailr is an AI-powered CV tailoring platform. You upload your CV, paste a job description, and our AI rewrites your CV to match the job requirements for maximum ATS compatibility. The Service generates tailored CV content and provides downloadable PDF exports.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using CVTailr, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

You may sign in using Google OAuth or a magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account or allow others to access it. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Plans and Pricing

• Free plan: 3 CV tailors per calendar month at no cost.
• Pay-per-use: Additional single tailors at $1.99 each.
• Pro plan: Unlimited CV tailors at $9.99 per month, billed monthly.

Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

5. Payments

All payments are processed securely by Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), our Merchant of Record. By making a purchase, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service. Lemon Squeezy handles all billing, invoicing, sales tax, and payment processing on our behalf.

6. Your Content

You retain all rights to the CV content, job descriptions, and personal information you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

7. AI-Generated Output

The tailored CV content generated by our AI is provided to you for your personal use. You own the output and may use it freely. However, you are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content before submitting it to employers. We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive CV content.
• Fabricate qualifications, degrees, employment history, or certifications.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or programmatically access the Service without authorization.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Service output on behalf of others.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses arising from Service downtime.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by CVTailr and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that AI-generated content will result in employment outcomes.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVTailr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unsuccessful, through binding arbitration.
